Farmacia Amorelli

This is the renovation of a historic family pharmacy, a solid point of reference since 1972 in a lively town in the Agrigento hinterland. Today the pharmacy is run by Dr Pietro and Dr Annamaria, a couple in life and behind the counter.

The renovation arose from the need to completely rethink the sales areas and the customer service areas. The display was made more attractive through custom perimeter display walls, fitted with LED walls and well-distributed glass shelves in soft tones designed to enhance the products on sale.

The sales floor unfolds along a path of double-sided display gondolas and culminates in the 3-station dispensing counter, embellished with a logo that recalls the pharmacy’s historic one. The second sales area features a stone arch and a display system that creates space for customer consultations and for special departments such as coeliac products.

The walls also feature stabilised lichen cladding, designed to improve air quality and acoustic comfort inside the pharmacy.
